It drips, the tap.
It drips and it drops.
So I sit, and I watch.
If it drips, I might catch it with paw or with tongue.
So I sits in the sink for all the day long, and I wait for the drip.
I sits in the daylight. I sits in the dark.
I sits and I watch it for hours and hours.
I sits in the morning, noon and night.
I sits like a statue and give mum a fright.
For the tap must be watched!
The tap might let drop, might let slip, might let go of a drip.
And if it drips, I will catch, as I sits, that wet drop.
